About the Photographer

In Spring 2004, The Gaited Horse magazine wrote, “Pomeranz is one of those best-kept secrets, whose images touch the heart like few others”.  Since then her equine images have been published on the covers and columns of numerous publications and books including, Santa Fean, New Mexico Magazine, Western Art Collector, Western Horseman, The Gaited Horse, Tony & The Cows, Killing Godiva’s Horse, Artists For Mustangs. She has received an Addie award, awards from the American Horse Publications, and was the poster artist for the group exhibit, Facing the Wind: The Extraordinary Faces of Our Wild Horses & Burros, at the Denver International Airport. Among Wild Horses: A Portrait of the Pryor Mountain Mustangs, her book of photographs, is now in fourth printing. Lynne’s images have been exhibited throughout the West and collected worldwide. Current representation includes True West, Santa Fe, NM, Belle of The West, Madrid, NM, and her studio/gallery in Corrales, NM.

Lynne is no stranger to the ways and the world of horses. She has dreamed horses since the age of three and had numerous jobs in the horse industry before turning to photography fulltime. Her own horse, Teques Snickers, was her constant inspiration while pursuing her journey to combine her love of horses and fine art photography.

Artist’s Statement

Since my first encounter with wild horses in 2003, I have been on a quest to share their world with others through my photographs. I have been blessed with the opportunity to spend countless hours in the wild pursuing my art while capturing images of horses as nature intended…as they wish to be…simply themselves. I hope these images convey to you the soulful beauty and magnificent spirit of wild horses and inspire you to become involved in the advocacy movement to protect them on the wild lands that are their home. 2006, Corrales, New Mexico
